If you want to eat something new, then, it’s their famous Moambas. If you dont know, Mamba is a snake which if bite on right place can make you dead in few minutes. Interesting, but you should try it. There are loads of great restaurants, few of them french.
Local water is not for drinking, but it’s cheap. You can also try their ginger. They have also a beer maked from rice, very interesting by the way and very nice. If you want to get drunk, use palm wine, but DO NOT use local gin.
You can find a lot of good hotels with four stars.
We fully suggest you dont go anywhere alone. Crime is rare, but you need to look after yourself anyway. Motorcades are illegal here, as also picturing government buildings and airports. We dont suggest you eat everything you see on the street, and racism is not tolerating.
